Dr. Andrew L. Morelock joined the faculty of Marshall University in the Fall of 2022. Previously, Dr. Morelock was a professor at Murray State University where he served as the MPA Program Director. He teaches courses with a focus in public budgeting, public policy, and research methods. Dr. Morelock’s research interests lie in studying policy attitudes, trust in civil servants, and government performance. His work has appeared in the International Journal of Public Administration, Public Administration Quarterly, and the European Journal of Industrial Relations.
Dr. Morelock received his MPA and PhD from the University of Tennessee and also holds a certification from the State of Tennessee as a Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO). For two terms, Dr. Morelock served as the President of the East Tennessee Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). Currently, he serves on the Advisory Board on Graduate Education for the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).
