As an educator in the field of orthopedic and sports physical therapy, I believe in fostering a student-centered learning environment that combines foundational knowledge and clinical application. Utilizing resources beyond the classroom such as case studies, live patient exams, technology, clinical experiences, and community engagement are key components to a student’s education to encourage lifelong learning. Embracing grey areas of information is paramount to thriving in the realm of physical therapy, and encouraging students to rationalize through their own thought processes will promote independence and problem solving. I aim to continue to grow with the students with the ever-changing environment of health care and sports medicine.
