Design Center Resources:

Assessing for Critical Thinking: What actually constitutes critical thinking? How can we assess it? We share best practices for designing and assessing assignments that promote critical thinking.

Designing Tests for Academic Integrity: Time limits, question view, and feedback settings in Ultra Tests can support academic integrity. We show you how to customize these to your testing needs.

Creating an Overall Grade: Using the overall grade column in Ultra ensures transparency, facilitates communication, and provides a comprehensive view of student performance. Find this and other tutorials by enrolling in our Ultra Instructor Resource Center.

Online Student Engagement:

Staying Motivated for Online Students” hosted by Marshall Online on March 6th was a huge success! Thanks for sharing this event with your students. The program was led by Kaye Godbey, Coordinator of Wellness Programs. During this session, students could identify their motivators, learn self-care tips, and review wellness tools available to them.

Marshall Skills Exchange:

Innovation Explorer Microcredential is free for Marshall faculty, staff and students!

Explore Design Thinking Principles through Marshall’s Innovation Explorer Microcredential. In an effort to become the most innovative school trained in design thinking principles, Marshall is encouraging faculty, staff and students to complete the new Innovation Explorer microcredential.

Offered by the iCenter, the Innovation Explorer course is focused on the importance of design thinking and learning the basics of Intuit’s version of design thinking – Design for Delight, an approach to innovating solutions to complex human-centered problems. This course is available free of charge for anyone with an active Marshall email.

Congratulations!

Marshall Online is proud to announce the addition of two new distance programs.

The BA, History is a new blended (hybrid) program, and the BA, Public Administration and Policy is a new online program. We truly appreciate Dr. Greta Rensenbrink and all the History faculty along with Dr. Damien Arthur and the Political Science faculty and their hard work to bring these programs to life. A special note, the faculty created courses in the upgraded Ultra format, and we are excited to see these courses offered in the upcoming terms.
