The 61st Annual Marshall University International Festival is set to take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th, in the Don Morris Room in the Memorial Student Center.
Celebrating West Virginia’s oldest and longest-running International Festival is a beloved tradition at Marshall University. The event showcases the culture, music, dance and cuisine of nationalities represented by the university’s international students.
“Putting on an event that has been a long-standing tradition, not only for the state, but for Marshall University, is something I am very honored and proud to do,” said Shaunte Polk, director of intercultural and international students.
“The International Festival is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, broaden our perspectives, and celebrate the richness that international students bring to our campus and community.”
Marshall University is home to international students from over 50 countries, and many of them will participate in the festival. Attendees can enjoy live music and join in a silent auction. The event is free and open to the public. Media are encouraged to attend.
