The Department of English offers a wide range of courses in literature, language, and writing designed to meet the needs and interests of general-education students, English majors and minors, and students majoring in other fields.
B.A. students may choose from Literary Studies, Creative Writing, Professional Writing, and English Generalist majors, which you can see below. We also offer the option for English Education 5 – Adult students from the College of Education to receive a second major in English in the College of Liberal Arts by completing their teaching specialization. There’s also the option of double majors within the department of English as many of your classes overlap.
And we offer multiple minors including an English Minor and a Film Studies Minor.
