MS4 Boundary Map
The boundary map illustrates the area covered under the current MS4 permit. The area inside the solid red line is the primary concern. All activities and events in this permitted area must be in compliance with the State and Federal regulations.
MS4 Mapping
The MS4 map is the most current map that is available. The goal is to have the entire campus mapped to better understand the system and better evaluate stormwater management. This map will be continuously updated as new information becomes available.
West Virginia Watershed Map
West Virginia has 32 watersheds divided according to hydrologic unit codes (HUC) that contribute to the Chesapeake Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The waters west of the eastern continental divide flow into the Ohio River. The Ohio joins the Mississippi River then the Mississippi flows into the Gulf of Mexico.
Campus Rain Garden Map
A raingarden is a shallow depression that collects runoff from a roof, driveway or parking lot and allows it to soak into the ground were pollutants can be absorbed by the soil. Raingardens are usually planted with shrubs and perennials, and can be colorful, landscaped areas that play a vital role in managing storm-water runoff thereby improving water quality, reducing potential for flooding and recharging groundwater.
