Meet Klara!

Klara Hensley is a Freshman at Marshall University, majoring in Social Work. Klara joined the Marshall Online Team as a Student Worker Intern in September of 2024. Klara supports the Marshall Online Team by assisting with tasks and projects for the Online Student Engagement Team and the Design Center.

What is your major and year? 

Freshman, majoring in Social Work.

How long have you worked with Marshall Online?

Since September 2024.

What is your favorite part of working with the Marshall Online Team? 

My favorite part about working with the online team is how welcoming and understanding everyone is. It has been an amazing transition, and I love working with very intellectual people.

How have you grown professionally while on our team? 

In the time of working here I have expanded my technical skills overall as a whole.  

What might surprise us about you? 

A fun fact about me is that I can wiggle my ears.

What is your favorite part about Marshall University? 

Two of my favorite parts about Marshall would be having access to many good resources on campus and the community. 

What are your future plans for after you leave Marshall? If no plans yet, what would be your dream plan?

My dream plan consists of having a job that helps others, while also being able to achieve my personal goals. 

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be a lawyer.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time I like to binge watch movies and TV shows.

What advice would you give your younger self?

If I could offer advice to my younger self, it would be to focus on finding the bright side in every situation. Embracing a positive perspective can help navigate challenges more effectively and foster personal growth.
