A community member found the book face-out on a display in a young adult nonfiction collection designed for grades 9-12. She verbally expressed to a staff member that she felt the book was inappropriate, then formally submitted a request to “remove this book, or any like it.” The patron’s concern was that the book was written to indoctrinate readers and it encourages risky behaviors.
