This National Geographic textbook for 6th-graders was approved despite receiving at least three written objections from Seminole County (FL) residents about it not including any reference to Islam, when it references other religions such as Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, and Judaism. The district stated that Islam is usually taught during 10th-grade.
