Marshall University does not ban books! The information is provided to let people know what has been banned/challenged elsewhere.
2019
Like many school districts, Conejo Valley (CA) Unified School District allows parents to opt-out their children from assigned books their parents object to. Unlike other districts, Conejo Valley has also “red-flagged” content labeled as “mature.” As a result, so many parents opted-out of Wiesel’s Holocaust memoir that, according to some reports, a teacher could not teach the book, though Night officially remains in the curriculum.
