I’ve been admitted to the Graduate Humanities Program. Now what?
Upon admission to the Graduate Humanities Program (MA or Certificate), the Program Director will contact applicants directly via email. Upon hearing of the decision from Graduate Admissions, be sure to:
- Read and carry out the applicable “Admitted Graduate Student Steps” on the Graduate Admissions webpage. Activating your MU ID, accessing your MyMU account, and getting your MU email are especially important.
- Familiarize yourself with the program requirements for the MA in Humanities or Appalachian Studies Certificate program.
- Browse the Program’s upcoming course/seminar page for the semester in which you plan to start.
- Contact the Program Director for a meeting before the semester begins to start the process of lining out your plan of study.
- Review the Program’s Seminar Rules of Engagement, being sure to advance your knowledge and use of Microsoft Teams via the links included on that webpage.
- Prepare to use MU Online and BlackBoard before starting your first graduate seminar. More information is on MU Online’s webpage.
