The John Marshall Bicentennial Celebration commemorated the 200th anniversary of John Marshall’s appointment as Chief Justice of the United States.
As part of the celebration, the Drinko Academy organized and hosted an international conference entitled Defining the Nation: Exploring the Impact of the Marshall Court. It collaborated with the Huntington Museum of Art to present The Face of Justice: Portraits of John Marshall exhibition and catalog. It published The Great Chief Justice John Marshall: Secondary Education Teachers’ Classroom Guide for middle and high school students from Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. It co-produced a documentary film, John Marshall: Citizen, Statesman, Jurist with Motion Masters, Inc. And, it held a Continuing Legal Education program about the significance of the Marshall Court, featuring prominent scholars and distinguished jurists from the state and federal benches.
