Biography

Sarah McGlumphy is a proud alumna of Marshall University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Sciences with minors in Biology and Music in 2021, followed by a Master of Public Health in 2024. While at Marshall, she was active in the Alpha Chi Sigma professional chemistry fraternity, served as a teaching assistant for Dr. Michael Castellani, and co-authored research with Dr. Rosalyn Quinones on biocompatible, antibiotic-coupled nickel-titanium nanoparticles for biomedical devices. An accomplished athlete, Sarah competed on the Marshall University Swim and Dive team and gained experience as a graduate assistant for the Marshall Rec Center, eventually transitioning to a full-time role in recreation.

In her current role as Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Sarah leverages her background in recreation and science to develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including high school and community college educators, industry and government representatives, and alumni. Her focus includes recruitment within STEM fields, community engagement, internships, and job placements, gathering feedback to enhance programs, identifying mentors for the Herd Connect initiative, and fostering connections with potential donors. An avid dog lover and fitness enthusiast, Sarah also enjoys exploring new food spots in her free time.
