Dr. Pamela Puppo, faculty member in the College of Science, along with two of her graduate students, recently participated in the West Virginia Native Plant Society Spring Meeting. As part of the event, the group joined fellow plant enthusiasts for a scenic and educational walk along Leading Creek.
The outing provided an excellent opportunity for informal field exploration and community engagement, as attendees observed and discussed the region’s diverse plant life. The walk highlighted the natural beauty of West Virginia’s native flora and fostered meaningful connections among scientists, students, and local plant lovers.
The College of Science is proud to support faculty and student involvement in statewide efforts to promote environmental awareness and the study of native plant species.
