1. Why did you choose Computer Science as your major?
I took my first Computer Science course in my senior year of high school. It was the first time I had ever learned about the subject, and I really enjoyed it. I had always liked math and science, so I decided to major in Computer Science because it felt like a good mix of the two.
2. Why did you choose to attend Marshall University?
I was really fortunate to be given the Yeager Scholarship to come study at Marshall. That was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up and the Computer Science program was flexible enough for me to study the other things I enjoy like English and French. Aside from that, Marshall is close to home for me, but far enough away that I can be independent.
3. What has been your favorite Computer Science class as a student and why?
My favorite Computer Science class was probably a Cybersecurity. You get to do a lot of challenging projects in that class and learn about an entirely different side of programming.
4. What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation, I will be working with the Department of Defense doing Computer Science research and development at the Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate.
