Hydra is CoRE-NET’s display wall system constructed from eight 19” LCD screens utilizing the Scalable Adaptive Graphics Environment (SAGE). Hydra is an effort to develop a multipurpose configurable ultra high resolution display that can be used to support courses in computer graphics, high performance visualization and image processing in displaying high resolution imagery. Each Hydra display unit is powered by a dedicated PC to provide maximum display capability with managed through a main control PC.
